Los Mambo Jambo

Los Mambo Jambo

Los Mambo Jambo is the instrumental band that created the ‘Sonido Jambofónico’, a wild blend of rock & roll, rhythm & blues, surf and swing performed from a contemporary perspective. Their style is the product of a conjuring by its four members, emblematic figures of the rock & roll and jazz scene in Spain: Dani Nel·lo (sax), Dani Baraldés (guitar), Ivan Kovacevic (double bass) and Anton Jarl (drums).

The quartet was born in late 2009 in Barcelona. Instrumental music is a universal language and Los Mambo Jambo come together with the vocation of launching a direct and timeless proposition, an invitation that connects with anyone anywhere in the world. To date, Los Mambo Jambo have released three albums and four 7" singles, one of them in collaboration with American singer Barrence Withfield.

From the very beginning, Los Mambo Jambo have had an international vocation. They have taken their “Sonido Jambofónico” across stages all over Europe (Norway, Germany, UK, Italy, Holland…) and across Mexico, where they receive an especially warm reception. Their second album “Impacto Inminente” (Isotónic Records) was released in Mexico before Europe. And their third album “Jambology” had an impressive reception among their fans, the press and the media, and on stages across Spain and all of Europe.

Part of Los Mambo Jambo’s success lies in their energetic live shows. Their repertoire consists of concise and highly intense pieces performed with faith, precision and commitment. In essence, a Los Mambo Jambo live show is a communion of energies between the band and the audience.
